Sean Howard

A former high school All-American (Crespi Carmelite, Encino CA) and UCLA linebacker, Sean’s football career was cut short by injury. Following graduation, Sean attended the University of Oregon School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor. Following three years in the legal profession, Sean was hired by the San Francisco Forty-Niners, and under the direction of GM’s Terry Donahue and Bill Walsh commenced his hands-on NFL experience in the 49ers front office/personnel department. Following his stint with the 49ers, Sean was recruited away to become the Assistant Director of Pro Personnel for the Green Bay Packers. With both NFL Clubs, Sean played a pivotal role in NFL scouting and player evaluation, free agent strategy sessions, draft meetings, Indy Combine operations, player interviews, workouts and contract negotiation. Sean’s practical experience as a participant behind the doors of two of the most storied franchises in all of pro sports has taught him what Club management and coaches desire in an athlete and individual, and he can help counsel and prep a client to become, and stay, a pro. An NFLPA licensed contract advisor, Sean is intimately involved in all phases of Octagon Football operations, including draft preparation, contract negotiation, marketing and client maintenance. In his career, Sean has already been co-representative of a first round draft selection, Marcedes Lewis, and is instrumental in the representation of 2007 NFL first round draft selection, Marshawn Lynch. Sean is married and the father of two daughters.
